Since 2023, Circuit has served as the curator of performing arts programming at the San Francisco edition of Night of Ideas, a one-night marathon of panels, films, keynote speeches, poetry and performing arts that is a global project of the French government initiated in 2016. Night of Ideas has occurred in 30 US cities and 70 countries, with a strong San Francisco partnership between the French Consulate, Villa Albertine, KQED, the Asian Art Museum and the SF Main Public Library. The event is a strong public forum to make Circuit’s work visible, weaving together artists and projects that Circuit is or has been affiliated with over decades. More than 200 performers have been engaged through Circuit for A Night of Ideas since 2023. The 2025 edition, “(Un)Common Ground”, will take place on Saturday, April 5 from 4PM-1AM at the Main San Francisco Public Library, Fulton Plaza, and the Asian Art Museum.
